When you think of harmony, most likely you initially think about music. That kind(the musical type)of harmony is defined as: “the combination of simultaneously sounded musical notes to produce chords and chord progressions, having a pleasing effect. Who doesn’t want more pleasing effects in their life? To experience more harmony in our lives, we need to authentically strive for a realistic balance and agreement of our ideas, feelings, actions, interactions with others and with ourselves. Consider any or all the following to seek harmony in your life:
Prioritize- Believe it or not, not everything needs or deserves equal attention. Allocate your energy towards what truly matters. Once you start spending your time on what is important to you, a feeling of calm and connection can create a personal well-being blanket. Boundaries – Set them, but without creating rigid rules to enforce them. Lean into flexibility when creating your boundaries for time, space, energy, and emotions. As life evolves, adjust your boundaries as needed, wanted, and deserved. Rest – We all need to replenish our body, mind, patience, and spirit. Plan for quiet moments, that may matter just as much as, (maybe even more than), productivity. Replenishing ourselves allows us to authentically reach and maintain harmony. Joy – Pause and appreciate the moments that bring you joy. Noticing even the small things that make you smile, smirk, laugh and love, generates feelings of being grounded and in sync with our true selves. When you proactively create and welcome harmony into your vocabulary and life, the shift, provides you the opportunity to live a life that feels authentic and aligned.
